An extension for shopping mall Liverpool Merida Galerias in Yucatan, Mexico, features a 20,000 sq.ft. PTFE cone structure with a flying mast supported by cables and a single layer ETFE film cone top covering. PTFE coated fiberglass membrane is not only long lasting and low maintenance but is also Class A fired-rated while additionally providing lots of natural daylighting and protection from the hot Mexican sun. Included in the renovation is an indoor and heated restaurant area with a pleasant atmosphere different from the rest of the shopping center and ample premises for fashion shops.
