Charleston’s upper peninsula continues to be reshaped with new developments and soon will include a five-story office building and four-level parking deck in a $35 million venture called The Belvidere. Big Span Structures will be providing the new exterior tensile facade for the parking garage building. The parking deck will be built with pre-cast concrete and feature 11,700 sq.ft. of PVC mesh facade with multi gray metallic colors. In addition to the parking garage facade, Big Span will be providing the PVC mesh fabric for a small walkway canopy structure. Big Span's scope includes design, engineering, fabrication, supply and installation of the steel support framing system for the facade, the PVC mesh, clamping and hardware. Construction is expected to be completed by late summer or early fall of next year.
