STEEL FABRICATION
Tensile membrane structures utilize supporting structural elements such as steel masts, arches and perimeter beams which have significant compressive, flexural and shear strengths ultimately giving the structure its shape and form. After final engineering is completed, shop drawings are produced and it’s time to start fabricating the project’s structural steel components.
At our 30,000 square foot steel fabrication plant positioned on 7 acres in Summerfield, FL, Span Flex is committed to manufacturing high quality steel fabrication for our design-build tensile structures. From fabricating and finishing architectural steel for small walkway canopies, parking garage facades to large grandstand or entertainment venues featuring PTFE, PVC or ETFE membrane, Span Flex understands how critical precision and quality fabrication is to the overall success of constructing a tensile structure. Utilizing sophisticated tools and equipment including one of the largest roll bender machines, the experienced team at our AISC certified plant are all AWS welders to meet the required US and International standards for steel fabrication. In addition, our steel shop contains two free-standing sandblasting and paint booth buildings.
